Regular management information typically covers profitability, cash position and runway, debtors and creditors, and progress against budget — the numbers a lender, investor or board will also want to see.
Profit and cash are not the same thing. Forecasting cash helps you anticipate tight periods, plan investment and avoid surprises around tax payment dates.
